Hitting a milestone of 17,000 subscribers has me feeling incredibly grateful for this Substack community!
This is a perfect opportunity to reintroduce myself to you all + tell you a bit more about me.
I’m a new mother who is embracing her motherhood journey 🤍 my daughter, Lainey, is 23 months old. The past few years have been life changing for me; from pregnancy and experiencing the changes associated with growing a child, both mentally and physically, to leaning into following my intuition as a first-time mother.
I’m east coast born and bred 🌿 but I did live in Colorado for a few years when COVID hit. My husband and I absolutely love being outdoors: hiking, skiing, camping, all the things. It’s part of the reason we feel it’s so important to bring Lainey outside every single day, rain or snow or shine.
I’m a certified meditation instructor 🧘🏼♀️ and have led many wellness retreats in the past. I practice meditation every day, both for myself and for my daughter to instill the practice into her life.
One of my life goals is to visit every national park 🌲 I’m at 27/63 and can’t wait for the next one!
I’m a Sagittarius ♐️ and thrive on frequent travel, deep conversations (hence my substack) and living life to the fullest.
I feel alive in the ocean 🌊 and can spend hours in the water. There is something so healing about being in water, and I can’t get enough of it.
We have a dog named Duck 🐥 He’s an English cream golden retriever, and he’s the most gentle, sweet, happy boy we could ever ask for.
I’ve worked in beauty marketing for the past 10+ years 💄 (I feel old writing that…) I love building brands and putting together the marketing strategies behind the scenes.
Making sourdough bread 🥖 is one of my favorite hobbies. Lainey has started to help me throughout the process: feeding our starter, checking its progress, mixing the dough. It’s such a fun ritual to do with her.
I love to practice yoga ☮️ go for long walks, and move my body. I fully believe movement is tied to happiness and overall wellbeing, and I genuinely enjoy these practices.
The sun energizes me ☀️ I can be in a negative place and go outside for 5 minutes, and I’m immediately refreshed and refilled.
Let me know if we have anything in common 💛

Thanks for sharing. I definitely relate to the things you like, though from a different time in life: I’m 76, retired, married for 51 years, and raised 2 boys. I loved the water, swimming and free-diving in the Gulf as a boy. Later when we moved to Colorado, camping, climbing, skiing, and fishing.
I had to move and express through my body: dancing, martial arts, and a lot of climbing in my career as a painting contractor. I could go on and on but the point is to do what you love.
Congratulations! That's an incredible number!
